OVERVIEW
This Southern Circuit safari will visit the famous Mikumi National Park and Ruaha National Park. It is a private safari. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and see plenty of wildlife and beautiful mountains. This is a luxury safari to be thoroughly enjoyed.
DAY 1 : Dar es salaam to Mikumi
We pick you up from the hotel/airport/harbor in Dar es Salaam, then transfer you to Mikumi in a private car. We stop for a hot lunch on the way, as it takes a few hours to reach Mikumi. After reaching Mikumi Village, you will have an opportunity to experience and celebrate with the famous, indigenous tribe, known as the Masai tribe. You will do activities like Masai dancing, eating together, seeing their local houses, and learn how they make fire. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp where you can dream about your safari the next day.
Day 2 : Game drive at Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, we will start our safari from the hotel toward Mikumi Gate, a drive of about 1 hour. During the game drive, you will spot a lot of animals, including buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, elephant, antelope, as well as other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will have a lunch break in the bush where you have the opportunity to see some animals up-close. Continue with the game drive until late evening. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. In the evening, you will hear the sounds of the wild which will soothe your soul.
Day 3 : Morning game drive the drive to Ruaha National Park
Wake up early for a morning game drive to experience the beautiful sunrise and scenery. Watch the animals go for a drink or watch them hunt, then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, we proceed from Mikumi to Ruaha with lunch en-route. In the evening, you will enjoy a boat ride in Ruaha National Park and see aquatic animals like crocodiles and hippos. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. In the evening, we will make fire and enjoy some drinks, dancing, singing and savour the sound of wild animals.
Day 4 : Game drive at Ruaha National Park
After breakfast, you will enjoy the game drive in the second biggest national park found in Tanzania. Here, you will experience the unique appeal of the park. You will have a lunch break at the camp, then continue the game drive in the southern part of Ruaha National Park until the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Ruaha. Enjoy the clean air, the silent surroundings and some private time.
Day 5 : Ruaha and drive back to Dar es salaam
Wake up early in the morning for a walking safari. Enjoy this experience of walking in the bush, spotting animals up-close and tracking them. Return to the camp to prepare for your journey back to Dar es Salaam.
