SUGGESTED ITINERARY
SAADANI is where the beach meets the bush. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast for an Indian Ocean beachfront, it as well possesses all the attributes that make Tanzania’s tropical coastline and islands very popular with European sun-worshipers. Yet it is also the one place where those idle hours of sunbathing might be interrupted by an elephant strolling past, or a lion coming to drink at the nearby waterhole!
DAY 1 DAR ES SAALAM TO SAADAN NATIONAL PARK
You will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and travel to the Saadani National Park on the Bagamoyo Road. Upon arrival in the park you will enjoy a delicious lunch and then spend some time relaxing on the beach. Later in the afternoon you will embark on a boat trip on the Wami River where you will spot crocodile and hippo and a wide range of birds. Later in the evening you will travel to the Kisampa Bush Retreat where you will check-in, have dinner and settle in for the night.
DAY 2 SAADANI NATIONAL PARKS TO DAR ES SALAAM
After breakfast you will check-out of the lodge and then spend the entire day on a game drive within Saadani National Park. On the drive you will come across large herds of buffalo and elephant. You will also see impala, lion, giraffe and a wide variety of birds. Later in the evening you will travel back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam you will be dropped off at your hotel. This is where your safari will end.
